WAYS OF FEASTING
A five-night food and wine retreat from 6th-11th May
Noms du Jour is taking over Casa Mediterraneo for five nights of food, wine and island living. Though small, Kastellorizo packs a culinary punch. Alongside our guest chef Sian Redgrave and local Yiayias, we’ll explore the ancient flavours and cooking techniques of the island: freshly caught fish, rice-stuffed vegetables, dolmades and sun-dried octopus, wild samphire and local honey, baklava and katoumari, and chickpea stew and slow-cooked goat pulled straight from the oven. All paired with local wines.
Days revolve around immersive food experiences and sun-drenched pleasures. Early hikes. Swims after breakfast. Hands-on cooking workshops with locals. Sunset aperitivos on the terrace. Long dinners under the stars, served family-style. Market mornings, boat days, outdoor movie nights. And plenty of time to rest and explore in between. Come with friends, come with your partner, come on your own.

THE CHEF
Sian Redgrave is an Australian chef, food stylist and recipe developer whose work sits at the intersection of food, fashion and design. She uses food as both an expressive medium and a way of bringing people together, with her menus drawing on both historical techniques and contemporary aesthetics.
Rooted in tradition and deeply influenced by Mediterranean produce and coastal cooking – olive oil, seafood, vegetables, handmade pasta – Sian’s food is generous, ingredient-led and made to be shared. She has done chef residencies everywhere from Rae’s on Wategoes and Il Delfino in Australia to Casa Lawa and Numero Venti in Italy.
THE HOSTS
Your hosts, Madeleine Woon and Katerina van Camp, are the duo behind NOMS. A food and travel journalist and a stylist, respectively, they started NOMS as a way of building community around the smart, spirited people shaping food and wine culture. Kat brings over a decade of experience across styling and hospitality, including running the kitchen at Casa Mediterraneo last summer. Mad has written and edited for titles including T: The New York Times Style Magazine, RUSSH and ELLE. They launched the Ways of Feasting retreat series in Portugal last year at Helder Farm Studios alongside chef Julia Khan Anselmo of Feisty Feast and Cantina’s sommelier and anthropologist, Nikolina Skanderija.
They’ve travelled extensively, so much so that they often wonder whether they were put on Earth solely to holiday well – a theory friends, family and strangers on the internet seem to support, judging by how often they’re asked where to go next. Together, they've travelled to more than 30 Greek islands and counting.
